kindred: Industry unites to raise awareness

Today marks the day of the first-ever Responsible Gambling Week, a great initiative run by the Industry Group for Responsible Gambling (IGRG). The awareness campaign is taking place in the UK, and has already tracked a broad involvement from various sectors within the industry. It aims to encourage a conversation about responsible gambling, knowing your limits and the tools available in order to uphold a fun and safe environment.

“At Kindred, responsible gambling is critical in order to sustain a healthy, long-term business. For 20 years, we have put our customers first by offering them the best deal and a great customer experience, in a safe and secure environment. Responsible gambling is good for customers and Kindred. If gambling stops being fun and entertaining, it is time to stop gambling”, said CEO Henrik Tjärnström.

Back in September, Kindred co-hosted the Responsible Gaming Conference alongside the Foundation for Social Welfare Service. The 2nd annual conference gathered over 270 attendees, an event which will continue to take place every year.

Kindred is committed to responsible gambling and is currently funding the development of a free gambling therapy app. The app will be available in the Nordics and targets problem gamblers, providing therapeutic exercises aimed at facilitating a fun and safe player environment.
